Zerberus Technologies Ltd (Zerberus.ai) is proud to announce that it has been named a winner of the 2026 Top InfoSec Innovator Awards, receiving the prestigious “Most Advanced AI Security & Governance” award from Cyber Defense Magazine (CDM).

The award was announced at CyberDefenseCon 2026 in Orlando, Florida, as part of Cyber Defense Magazine’s 14th annual programme recognising cybersecurity innovators addressing emerging threats and advancing the industry’s security capabilities.

The recognition marks an important milestone for Zerberus and its work in building practical security and governance technologies for an increasingly AI-driven enterprise landscape.

Recognising Innovation That Matters

As organisations move beyond conversational AI towards autonomous agents capable of accessing enterprise data, invoking tools and executing business operations, the nature of AI security is fundamentally changing.

The challenge is no longer limited to identifying malicious prompts or filtering unsafe responses. It increasingly involves determining what an AI system is authorised to access, which actions it is permitted to perform and how those boundaries can be enforced throughout execution.

This is the challenge behind VANGUARD, Zerberus’s runtime AI security and governance platform.

VANGUARD combines adversarial threat detection, sensitive-data protection and deterministic policy enforcement to help organisations secure AI interactions and agentic workflows. Designed to operate within existing AI infrastructure, it brings security controls closer to the point where AI decisions become operational actions.

The platform’s development has been informed by practical enterprise security requirements and its application in real-world environments.

Recognition from Industry Leaders

“Zerberus.ai embodies three major features we judges look for with the potential to become winners: understanding tomorrow’s threats, today, providing a cost-effective solution and innovating in unexpected ways that can help mitigate cyber risk and get one step ahead of the next breach.”

— Gary S. Miliefsky, Publisher, Cyber Defense Magazine

The award reflects the growing importance of security technologies that address the operational risks introduced by enterprise AI and autonomous systems.

“The real test of security innovation is not what it promises, but what it protects. Seeing VANGUARD put to work in real environments makes this industry recognition particularly meaningful.”

“We started Zerberus with the conviction that security must move beyond identifying risks towards enforcing controls and enabling meaningful remediation. As AI systems gain greater autonomy, that principle becomes even more important.”

“This recognition belongs to the team building these technologies and to the organisations working with us to address real-world security challenges.”

From Innovation to Real-World Protection

VANGUARD’s application in customer environments is providing practical insights into the risks emerging from AI-enabled enterprise workflows.

In one deployment involving a CRM technology provider, VANGUARD identified and blocked an attempted exfiltration of personally identifiable information (PII), demonstrating the importance of inspecting AI interactions and enforcing data protection boundaries at runtime.

“In one customer environment, VANGUARD identified an attempt to move sensitive customer information outside authorised boundaries and prevented the transfer. It is exactly why we believe AI security must do more than raise alerts. It must intervene before a security risk becomes a data breach.”

The incident illustrates the operational importance of combining threat identification with preventative enforcement, particularly where AI-enabled systems interact with sensitive business and customer information.

Building Towards Continuous Security Assurance

While VANGUARD addresses the emerging challenges of AI security and governance, it forms part of Zerberus’s broader vision of bringing security enforcement, compliance and remediation closer together.

The company’s technology portfolio also includes:

  • Compl-AI - Compliance automation and continuous assurance.
  • Trace-AI - Software supply-chain risk intelligence.
  • Remed-AI - Automated security remediation and operational risk reduction.

Together, these technologies reflect Zerberus’s commitment to helping organisations move from periodic assessments and fragmented security tools towards continuous, enforceable and auditable security operations.

The Most Advanced AI Security & Governance award is an encouraging recognition of this direction and a significant milestone in Zerberus’s journey.

We thank Cyber Defense Magazine and its judging panel for the recognition, our customers and pilot partners for their trust, and our team for the work that continues to make this possible.

About Zerberus

Zerberus.ai builds runtime AI security and governance technology for enterprises deploying AI systems and autonomous agents. Its platform, VANGUARD, combines adversarial threat detection, sensitive-data protection and deterministic policy enforcement to secure AI interactions and agentic workflows as they happen - inspecting prompts, tool calls and responses in real time, so that what an AI system is allowed to do never depends on the model’s own judgment. Zerberus’s broader technology portfolio, including Compl-AI, Trace-AI and Remed-AI, extends this approach into continuous compliance assurance, software supply-chain risk intelligence, and automated remediation.
